Look for the flip INTO an “Iron Cross” early on…that’s a superior level of difficulty and just one of the subtle marks of excellence displayed here.  Obviously I’m a proud parent, but more than that I’m so happy he’s been able to experience one of those memorable moments, where everyone is cheering for him.  I tried to impress upon him to not only hear, but to listen to the cheers and soak in the moment.  He’s going to be a senior in High School next year and more that likely going to compete (read: I would love him to…) in the all-around tournament which means the addition of pommel horse, floor, high bar, and vault.
