Shhh…Don’t Tell Anyone I’ve Started Posting Again.

It’s my hope that this blog has been dormant long enough for me to safely return Much has gone on in the last few years and during the coming months I’ll unfurl those past years and lay the foundation for what’s to come.  It could become a very busy and exciting time if I’ve got the wherewithal to embrace change.  Change, generally, comes very hard to me but in order to grow change MUST occur…right? I feel like a modern day Hobbit who is eager for comfort, warmth and a predictable day.  So many goals but I’ve got to get over my penchant …

Right or Privilege? – Searching for Smarter Gun Control

Gun control is a touchy subject. Weapons in the United States are here to stay.  I love to target shoot, with the smell of the gunpowder, the fun in zeroing in on the bull’s eye, and the crack in the air when I pull the trigger.  There’s also something very powerful about a gun and I dig controlling that power.  I would say it’s a “guy thing,” but the increasing number of women weapon owners could dispel that notion. Unfortunately, guns also kill people.  In fact, they were originally designed as a weapon specifically to kill humans.  Yes, there IS hunting, but …

Another Editing Exercise! Multiple Angle Edits

So I’ve been editing a bit lately, trying to get better. This video is a collection of clips from the Patriots and Jets first game this year.  My main goal here was to highlight multiple angle editing.  So each big play that has multiple angles has been compiled from individual clips. Wait, Am I STILL Hiding?

Just when I think I’m there… It’s been an incredibly long time since I’ve written. Funny to think of all the things that have been bottled inside my head for the past year.  This space used be a repository for those thoughts but I’ve been hiding from this blog for a while.  It would be easy to make excuses, but the truth is that I’ve been having a tough time focusing enough to sit down and commit to creating content. So, I’m going to effort to make more posts here and fewer on Facebook, which has been my communication mode …

The Dark Knight Rises a Prequel to NightWing?

If you’ve not seen the very latest “The Dark Knight Rises” trailer, check it out…but watch Joseph Gordon Levitt’s character.  Enjoy. At 42-ish seconds he’s seemingly a witness.  The following scene is of the borough bridges being destroyed, followed by other people apparently witnessing it as well. At 55 seconds he’s asking Selina Kyle if they’ve killed “him.”  Him is Bruce?  Batman? At 1:08-ish he’s commiserating with a boy, wondering if Batman will return.  Clearly they both miss him. At 1:17 we hear him asking Selina Kyle “Why would you run, Bane?”  Selina responds, “You should just as afraid of him as I am, …
