Change.

I’m not talking about Obama change.

I’m talking about real change in my life.  I’ve pretty much moved in with J, which is big for me.  I’ve geared my life to be pretty self sufficient (read:selfish) and follow specific routines and everyone who’s ever lived with a woman knows that it takes some getting used to.

sparechange1Now, before I get into trouble here let me clarify my statements.  I’m talking about things like being tidy, toilet seats, dirty clothes, running water while I’m brushing my teeth, making the bed in the morning, and multiple TV’s on at once.  The things I’m more than likely to forget to do…getting used to doing those things is what will take work.  I guess that realizing that those things make her happy makes them easier to remember, which is a good thing.

Another thing I just realized…it’s been over a year since I’ve smoked.  I quit on January 12th.  Honestly, it seems like it’s been a lot longer than a year.  I guess that’s because I can’t imagine smoking again.  Reading back through this blog to the first few days after I quit reminds me of how powerfully addictive nicotine is and how harmful it is to the body and how harmful the smoke is to my lungs.  When you think about it there is an obvious stupidity to inhaling smoke into your lungs.
